Snorkeling on Koh Kood (Ko Kut) is the easiest way to see the island's reefs, and our snorkel day trips and tours run every day of the week. The water is clear and warm, the currents are mild, and the sites are shallow, so it works for children, first-timers and people who don't swim well: there are life jackets, rings and lines on the boat, and a guide in the water with you.
Three days a week the snorkeling trip goes to Koh Rang marine park, the protected group of islands west of Koh Kood, where the reefs are the healthiest in the area; the other four days we snorkel the reefs and bays around Koh Kood itself. Both trips leave from the same boat as our divers, so a family can dive and snorkel together.

How the day runs
8 am · Pick-up
We collect you at your hotel and drive to Bang Bao, where the boat leaves.
Morning · Sites 1 and 2
Around Koh Kood the boat ride is 45 minutes at most; to Koh Rang about 90. Two sites before lunch, 45 minutes in the water at each.
Lunch, site 3, home
Lunch on board, a third site in the afternoon, then back to the beach and to your hotel.

How much is a snorkeling trip on Koh Kood?
1,000 THB for a day around Koh Kood and 1,200 THB for Koh Rang marine park, with mask, snorkel, fins, life jacket, lunch and hotel pick-up included. Koh Rang adds the park fee: 200 THB, children 100 THB.
Can you snorkel in Koh Kood?
Yes. The island has clear, warm water and healthy reefs a short boat ride from shore, with little boat traffic compared to bigger destinations.
Is snorkelling on Koh Kood good for first-timers?
Yes. The snorkelling sites around Koh Kood are shallow and sheltered, a guide is in the water with you, and the boat carries life jackets, rings and lines, so first-timers and weak swimmers are fine.
Do I need experience?
No. The trips suit beginners, families and non-swimmers with a life jacket. A guide stays in the water with the group.
Which days go to Koh Rang?
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The other days snorkel the reefs around Koh Kood.
Are there sharks?
Shark sightings are extremely rare here. You'll see reef fish, corals and, with luck, a turtle.
What about children?
Children are welcome. Life jackets in small sizes are on board, and the Koh Rang park fee is 100 THB for kids.
