PREREQUISITES :
To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver or PADI Junior Rescue Diver course, you must :
- Already be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or PADI/NAUI/other equivalent)
- Have to be at least 12 years old for PADI Junior Rescue Diver
- Have to be at least 15 years old for PADI Rescue Diver
- Be certified as an Emergency First Responder (CPR and First Aid) within the last 2 years
- Be in good health
(If you are not certified in EFR, let us know and you may take this course over one day just before you begin the SSI Rescue Diver course)

Course Overview: PADI Rescue Diver
The PADI Rescue Diver Course offers a rewarding and challenging program designed to take your diving skills to the next level. This comprehensive course prepares you to handle emergency situations, making you a capable and confident diver. Throughout the course, you will develop crucial skills for self-rescue, recognize and manage stress in fellow divers, and gain expertise in emergency management and equipment usage. Additionally, you will master techniques for rescuing panicked and unresponsive divers.
Prerequisites:
To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver Course, a current first aid or emergency first responder certification is required. If you don’t have one, don’t worry – we offer the convenient option to complete an Emergency First Responder course on-site with our certified instructors.
Theory and Preparatory Work:
The course begins with engaging theory sessions, typically starting at 8:15 am on the first day. To maximize your time enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Koh Kood, we recommend completing the required reading and homework before your arrival. We can even provide you with the course book in advance.
Water Work: Confined Water Training:
After completing the theory portion, you will progress to confined water training. Here, you will acquire invaluable skills to effectively handle emergencies underwater. You’ll learn to identify and manage various emergency scenarios, enhancing your ability to respond in real-life situations.
Water Work: Open Water Training:
The second day of the course focuses on open water training. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you will apply the skills learned in confined water to real-life scenarios. This hands-on experience will boost your confidence and solidify your abilities as a rescue diver.
Completion and Debriefing:
Following the open water training, we will ensure that you have covered all necessary knowledge and provide a debriefing session to discuss your dives with your instructor.
