This gives you the freedom to study whenever you want.Like that, you have more vacation time to spend on the beaches or with other activities. What can you expect when you book the Open Water Course with Koh Kood Divers?
Schedule for the Open Water Diver Course with Koh Kood Divers?
In the morning of your first day, you meet your instructor and get to know each other. He or she is going to check the level of your theoretical knowledge, answer questions, explain the functions of your diving equipment, and show you how to handle it. This assures that you are prepared and have the knowledge of what to do and how to react when you breathe for the first time underwater. The instructor is also briefing you about the skills that he or she is demonstrating and practicing with you in the afternoon after your lunch break.
For your confined water session in the afternoon, we will go into a shallow bay where you can stand up. Then we have to prepare our equipment, put it on, and do a buddy check. Safety first!
You’re going for the first time with equipment that allows you to breathe underwater, and you’re just practicing breathing through the regulator. When you are comfortable, the instructor demonstrates each skill that you have to learn one by one, and you are going to practice until you meet the performance requirements and feel safe. That will prepare you for all eventualities on your first two open-water dives the next day.
Open Water Dives 1–2 on Day 2
The last two days of your course will consist of 4 open-water dives that we will do from the boat. Some exercises from the confined water training will be repeated, and then: dive, see fish, be weightless underwater, explore, and enjoy.
That’s the reason you take the course, right?
The first open water dive we are going to explore the underwater world and apply what we have learned in the confined water training and to deepen it under the supervision of the instructor. After the first dive, we will have lunch on the boat. After your meal, you can rest for about an hour on our sundeck or below, in the shade.
Then we are off to a new dive site, around Koh Kood, for your second dive. At this point, you will already see how easy it is to dive, have fun with weightlessness, observe fish and other marine life, and apply previously learned skills in the company of your instructor. You will review and perform various diving skills both underwater and on the surface to ensure you are a competent and safe diver. We divide the skills in such a way that you will have only a small portion of exercises and lots of time to explore the underwater world with your instructor.
3 + 4 Open Water Dives on Day 3
The third day also takes place on the boat. Today you will complete the final two dives of your course and have the opportunity to explore the enchanting underwater world around you once more.
Koh Kood. Under the supervision of your instructor, you will repeat a few skills and make use of the abilities that you have learned, while you look for fish, corral, and other sea dwellers.
Around 3 pm the boat will return to Bang Bao beach to bring you back.
Depending on how far we go, the boat trips will take between 45 and 80 minutes.
CONGRATULATIONS!
